INTRODUCTION:
We started off the show by talking about the Solar Eclipse that was taking place as we recorded.
Ru mentioned the famous “Blue Marble” photograph that was taken by the crew of Apollo 17
As well as the “Pale Blue Dot” taken by Voyager 1 as it left our solar system.
Harry then spoke about the reasons for our extended absence from the airwaves
Asher spoke about his favorite secret spot in Costa Rica.
And Ru spoke about learning to tow surf in Indonesia
And Kerianne spoke about watching LPGA golfer Tiffany Joh at the US Open, as well as her training regime for an upcoming Triathlon.
CORRECTION:
Harry clarified his coaching points from Episode 47 about front foot vs. back foot pressure when turning a board, and how a twin fin can help learn good technique
THE NEWS:
First story this episode is the appointment of Sophie Goldschmidt as the new CEO for the WSL.
We also spoke about Joe Carr, formerly of the UFC, and his appointment as the Chief Strategy Officer.
Ru also brought up the rumor that there will be a WSL Specialty Event at the Kelly Slater Wave Pool in California, as well as the rumor that the pool will be open to the public.
Bede Durbidge has announced that he will retire at the end of this season in order to move to a coaching roll for the Australian olympic team, and Mick Fanning has moved into an ownership position with Creatures of Leisure
Last story was the publication of a survey of Surf Lesson Prices around the world.

MAIN FEATURE: Kerianne on Sexism in Surfing
Kerianne spoke about the recent uproar over the Landing Page on Billabong's homepage.
Much of the uproar was started by this article from Karen Knowlton.
The team then spoke about the possible justification behind the use of these images, as well as the importance of companies and individuals engaging with the moral dilemmas posed by those justifications.
Kerianne brought up the #LikeAGirl campaign
